Denim on Denim is the ultimate casual outfit, you just need to make sure you wear it right. We all remember when Justin and Britney showed up in their crazy denim on denim outfits. No need to repeat that episode!
Wearing this trend right is actually quite easy. It’s very stylish and truly timeless! There are two key rules to wearing Denim on Denim correctly:
- Your clothes must fit right!
- If you wear boyfriend jeans, wear a more fitted denim top, for example
- Or if you wear skinny jeans, wear a chambray (check out my outfit above!).
- Miss match your top with your bottom
- Pair dark with light washes or black/white denim with blue
- For example, if you wear a light chambray (as seen in my photos), pear with a darker pair of jeans (and vice versa!)
My Look
This weekend’s shopping trip at Scottsdale Quarter was awesome. I knocked out some of my holiday shopping, and enjoyed the beautiful 70 degree weather. I wore this super cute Denim on Denim outfit, and received several compliments!
It’s all about correctly pairing the right shades together, to create a super cute look. As you can see, I wore a light denim top with dark skinny jeans.
I’m a total denim girl, so 9 times out of 10, you’ll see me in jeans with a cute top. I hardly wear dresses! I basically live in jeans with a soft chambray. This look is one of my go-to’s!
I paired my favorite necklace from Blush and Bar with this chambray.
