The idea of creating my own custom dress made me so excited. eShakti is an online women’s fashion shop, that actually creates custom pieces for women of all sizes (literally from a 0 up to a 36W).
I was flattered that they let me pick any dress and customize it to suit my style! It was so hard to pick, but I wanted to go with something I normally wouldn’t wear everyday, but could dress up or down. The hardest part of shopping on eShakti, was deciding which product to go with!
At the end of the day, I wanted a maxi dress, and this gorgeous pleated cotton jersey knit maxi dress. Since it’s cotton, I felt like I could dress this up (even for a wedding), or down with some cute sandals.
Ordering semi custom clothing can be unnerving, because you really don’t know how the item will fit until It arrives. I’m also only 5’4”, and typically dresses are extremely long and I need to get them hemmed. I was surprised that this one arrived and fit perfectly! Considering I gave them my measurements I’m not sure why I was expecting anything other than a perfect fit.
They have tops, bottoms, and dresses, and next time I’m definitely ordering a semi custom top! It’s almost like I’m my own designer…. but not. 😉
For accessories, you know I had to pair it with my favorite Daniel Wellington watch. I never used to wear watches, but now I live in them! You can dress up or down an outfit with accessories.
My heels are old BCBG ones, but they are so comfortable, since they have elastic bands. They’re great for weddings, because my feet legit never hurt (the elastic is key!).
My beautiful necklace is lesebi.
