WINTER PONCHO
If you would have asked me what a poncho is 7 years ago, I would have told you something to keep you dry when it rains. How things have changed!
Ponchos are such a fun winter staple. You can layer them with a long sleeve top under, or just a tank top depending on the temperature outside.
When I lived back in Manhattan, I would layer a poncho with a long sleeve, to stay warmer. Now that I’m living in Phoenix, wearing a tank top is best. I highly recommend layering this look to avoid any accidental reveals (no arm holes).
My poncho is Alice & Olivia. I picked it up back in NYC a few years ago and am still obsessed! This was so worth the splurge! The colors are perfect for the season, and it’s made of cashmere (like this one), making it literally the softest top ever.
I linked a few other options that are just as cute (and I’m probably going to have to buy!).
You can style your poncho with different color jeans or even leggings. Rumor has it the Spanx leggings are insanely awesome, and they’re probably my next purchase. These would look fab with a poncho!
Shoes
I wanted to dress up this look with my 7 For All Mankind stiletto boots. I’ve had these since 2009 and they are in amazing shape! It’s worth investing in quality shoes, because they will last you forever!
Dressing this look down is easy, just throw on a flat shoe or boot.
Accessories
Being that this poncho is a turtleneck, I wanted to keep my accessories limited. I stuck with my favorite Daniel Wellington watch! I’m obsessed with the white leather band and it’s so soft. Not to mention, it goes with every outfit.
