Valentine’s Day is coming up and I have a feeling more of us will be home than normal! Jesse and I typically hang at home and go out for Valentine’s Day a different night of the week. We just hate the major crowds or up-charge of dinner prices, because it’s a Hallmark Holiday! Anyways, over the years we’ve done some fun things at home, and today I’m sharing 10 ways on how to have fun at home on Valentine’s Day!
10 Ideas for A Fun Valentine’s Day In
Dinner and a Movie
This may as well say Netflix and Chill, JK JK! Jesse and I eat dinner together almost every night, but after we don’t always hang out! What’s better than a romantic night in with dinner and a movie? Sit down and choose the movie together! Whether you order food in or make it at home, choose a dish you both will enjoy! This is likely what we’ll be doing on Valentine’s Day this year.
Game Night
Game night is always so fun! Have some drinks, sit back and enjoy a good laugh with your significant other (OR roomies!!). I found a handful of games that are perfect for couples:

Wine Tasting Party
This is my personal favorite!! Although, I think Jesse will request the below idea… I love wine, and there’s so many ways you can plan to do wine tasting together!
There’s digital wine tastings (I’ve done one with Samantha Sommelier, which I HIGHLY recommend!), or you can pick up a few bottles you want to try and make one yourself! I also saw this cute wine kit from Revolve, which ships in just 2 days. I’m thinking about ordering it, too!
Make your own Ice Cream Sundays!
Did someone say, ice cream party for 2?! Pick up some ice cream and your favorite toppings (think sprinkles, Oreos, whipped cream and chocolate sauce!), and make some at home ice cream Sundays! It’s an easy and fun way to have dessert with your honey.
I found some cute bowls and a heated ice cream scooper, to jazz up the evening, as well!
At Home Spa Night
There’s nothing like a day at the spa, but it’s even better when it’s in your own home! Plan on exchanging massages, take a bath, doing an at home facial, and lounging around in robes and slippers! Don’t forget to turn on the spa music, and enjoy the night. I also linked a towel warmer, which is on my list of things to buy!

Fondu Night
Does anyone else remember the Melting Pot? We used to LOVE going there for fondu for special occasions. Sadly, the one near us closed, but we still love the idea of Fondu! There’s some incredible fondu kits, so you can have a fun Fondu Night in.

Make a Menu and Cook Together!
On a regular week, I typically cook 3 to 4 times and we bring in 2 times and go out once a week. I cook, so Jesse does the dishes. However, it’s SO much more fun to cook together!
On special occasions, where we celebrate something (like Valentine’s Day), it’s fun to create a menu, pick up the ingredients and cook together! Pizza is on my list of things to cook at home, I think it would be so fun.
Have a peaks night!
Reminisce your favorite times together. Watch your wedding video, talk about your favorite date night, and enjoy it over dinner! Jesse filmed our engagement (which was private and just the two of us and our pups), and we love to watch it on our Anniversary or Valentine’s Day! Take a walk down memory lane, and re-kindle your love for one another. It’s refreshing and brings you back to your roots.
Create a signature cocktail together!
HOW fun to create a signature cocktail together! Talk about your favorite flavors, test out some recipes, and voila, you’ll have a signature couples cocktail. We plan on doing this and serving it whenever we have guests over. It’s clever, easy, and a creative way to have fun together at home!
Take an online cooking class together
I’m no chef, but I can cook really basic foods. I also suck at following recipes! Sometimes it’s easier to just cook the same old things. But for Valentine’s Day, I would love to try a yummy new recipe. There’s a TON of free online cooking classes on YouTube, you don’t have to pay to do a class if you don’t want to! This would be such a fun, romantic way to spend Valentine’s Day with your loved one!
Happy Valentine’s Day Loves!
