Annie Lawless just launched a new natural “AF” beauty company, and I immediately ran to my computer to purchase one of her soft liquid lipsticks.
For those of you who don’t know of Annie, she owns an uber successful blog “Blawnde” and founded the incredible company Suja Juice (which Coca Cola purchased 30% of).
Being that Annie has been in the wellness space, made me want to try her lipstick even more! Personally, I much prefer natural makeup products, so splurging $25 on Ryan (a nude rose gold metallic shade) was a no brainer. Paying extra for quality is totally worth it!
Packaging
Annie and team did not skimp on this beautiful packaging. It’s honestly the most beautiful lipstick box I have ever seen!
The box is black and white with a clear exterior and a pull, and the lipstick box slides out of the clear packaging. The black and white color scheme makes it look luxurious.
The cutest part of this box is the note that reads “Make Out With Ryan”. Ryan is the color, and I think her play on words is awesome.
The actual lip gloss is 0.25Â fl oz. It is a rectangular shape, with a clear body and black top. LAWLESS is written in white, which matches the box (super cute).
Formula
The Lawless liquid lipstick feels extremely soft and glides on your lips effortlessly. There is no clumping, and the product is quite thin. Typically I gravitate towards a heavier (yet not sticky) feel, but this product changes everything. Light weight usually signifies sheer color, but not in this case!
Lawless is very vibrant, and the color is extremely pigmented. A little bit goes a long way!
The below photo shows my lower lip with Ryan, but my upper lip is bare.

As you can see, this is an incredible layering lip color, and photos just do not do it justice.
The Lawless Soft Liquid Lipsticks also come free of parabens, phthalates, PEGs, mineral oil, aluminum, sulfates, chemical fragrance, petroleums, and silicones. Not to mention, they are completely cruelty free!
Ingredients:
Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Kaolin, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Ozokerite, Hydrated Silica, Oryza Sativa Powder, Plumeria Acutifolia Flower Extract, Capri Cap, Sambucus Nigra Fruit Extract, Tridecane, Propylene Carbonate, Lauryl Olivate, Dilinoleic Acid/Propanediol Copolymer, Undecane, Phytosteryl Sunflowerseedate, Hydrogenated Vegetable Glycerides, Natural Flavor, Black Iron Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Red Iron Oxide, Yellow Iron Oxide, Red 7 Calcium Lake.
Wear
The product is super light weight, as mentioned above. Wear it on it’s own, or on top of other colors (which I can tend to see myself doing).
It’s fairly long lasting, but after I ate dinner, it definitely came off. Totally normal, it didn’t necessarily disappoint me, since the product doesn’t promise to last through a meal.
Colors
There are currently 8 colors available. I always gravitate towards neutrals, and rose gold is my favorite color. Naturally Ryan was an easy choice.
From Bergdorf Goodman’s site:
Cameron– Pale nude with pink undertones.
Leo– Light nude with peachy undertones.
George– Neutral midtone true nude.
Jake– Cool toned lilac baby pink shade.
Brad– Your solid, everyday mauve nude shade.
Ryan– Nude rose gold metallic shade. It looks beautiful on its own or as a pop of highlight in the center of the lips over top any liquid lipstick shade.
Romeo– Vampy deep reddish burgundy shade.
Dane– Deep plum shade.
I cannot wait to see what other colors and products are launched!
Conclusion
Annie Lawless absolutely killed it with her soft liquid lipsticks! My first impression is that the products are true to who she is, they’re natural (which is not easy to find), and they own up to their promises.
They are a bit expensive, at $25, but they are worth it! I highly recommend trying out Lawless Soft Matte Liquid Lipsticks!
Let me know how you like this product if you try it!
