If you’re anything like me, doing your hair more than two or three times a week is just not an option! It takes too much time, and it dramatically damages your hair.
Personally, I go to the gym about 4 times a week (including hot yoga), and I finally found the key to reviving 2nd day hair! The answer might surprise you….
It’s only three things:
- Great Dry Shampoo (the true key!!)
- Your Hairbrush
- Hot Tools: Flatiron or Curling Iron (whichever you use more often)
That is it! However, I’m going to share the steps to getting fantastic, clean looking, voluminous revived 2nd or 3rd (and maybe 4th) day hair.
Steps to Fabulous Revived Hair
HOT TOOLS
After brushing out your hair, grab your favorite hot tool (mine is the Amika flat iron, but I used a 1.5″ barrel in this video). Using your flat iron or curling iron, create natural waves (check out How to Curl Your Hair with a Straightener HERE) to tame your hair.
This also gives the appearance of softer hair, especially after day 2.
DRY SHAMPOO!
As a person who has chemically treated her hair for 17 years, keeping my blonde locks healthy is a priority. Split ends come on fast and furious, and using hot tools on my hair daily is absolutely not an option.
I also have wavy hair, and constantly curl and straighten. After all these years, my hair is healthy and shiny, because I don’t shampoo and condition more than three times weekly.
I know you’re probably thinking things like, but I go to the gym and I HAVE to wash my hair! Or Gross, you cannot go days without seeing grease. The truth is, you totally can!
Check out my after gym and before “revival” hair below. I had just worked out, rinsed off, and my hair was in a pony tail after getting my sweat on outside!
My hair is totally limp, it was greasy on the top, and partially separated (see the back). Basically it was a hot mess!
Reviving this mop was a breeze, using my absolute favorite dry shampoo. Batiste makes the most incredible product! You only need to spray a little bit for it to go a long way.
Basically, all you need to do is spray your hair around the top of your head using Batiste Dry Shampoo, in the middle (separate the hair by your temples), and underneath. Let the product set for a moment and toss out your hair using your hands.
Reasons why I love Batiste Dry Shampoo:
- No Strong Odor: simply leaves your hair smelling clean and fresh
- Light Weight: waterless formula absorbs grease and dirt at the roots
- Vegan Friendly and NO Testing on Animals: I am a huge animal lover, so this was a selling point for me.
To note, this is NOT a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.
Where to Buy My FAVORITE Dry Shampoo
If you tend to get greasy hair, try not washing it and doing this routine for two weeks. I promise you will start to see a change in your hair!
