Happy Tuesday! I’m so excited to be teaming up with River Island and sharing some fall fashion must haves with you today! With Fall hitting quickly, I’ve been stocking up on sweaters, leggings, and cute boots. I’m also fully stuck on Leopard, so I had to incorporate it into my outfits. I picked some must have pieces that you need in your closet for fall/winter!
I did a poll on my Instagram Stories, and 98% of the voters said they prefer closet staples for clothing pieces. Everything I got from River Island can easily be mixed and matched and dressed up or down. Also, all of the pieces are under $125!
Outfit 1
I wore this outfit when my hubby and I went to a pumpkin patch last week with our pups, Maddie and Thelma. It’s the perfect fall look! This ribbed sweater is incredibly soft! It’s only $68 and comes in 4 colors. I loved that this one was blocked shades of grey, black, and white. I can see wearing it with maroon or olive jeans in the fall, too!
Let’s talk leggings. Finding comfortable, complementary leggings is a job in it’s own! I saw that these were Ponte (which is a stretchy, thick, movable material) and only $44, so I had to get them. If you haven’t worn a Ponte pant, I highly recommend trying these! I’ve had several pairs that last me years, and they’re typically much more expensive. These are going to be my staple legging for Fall and Winter! If you pick one item from all of the pieces I got at River Island, DO NOT miss these! They are the best.
Booties are my favorite type of boots, and again, in the poll I did last week 90% of you said you prefer booties vs over the knee boots! I saw this suede bootie, and it was the perfect versatile color. It goes with everything! I also liked that the heel height was only 2.25″, because they’re wearable everyday. I’m a size 6.5/7 and I went with the 7. I could have easily fit in the 6.5 (and probably would have preferred it), but I just wear a thick sock with the 7 and they feel great.
Outfit 2
Is anyone else as big of a sweater fanatic as I am during fall and winter? I want to feel cute and cozy, and when I saw this knit split side sweater, I had to have it! I’m a sucker for neutrals, but it also comes in pink (HERE). I find myself gravitating towards this color for fall, and it goes with everything.
I paired it with this $60 zip pocket skirt, but I am currently sitting at my desk thinking about how cute it would be with my ponte leggings! See what I mean? All about versatility and staple items! The skirt fits true to size, and I loved the length. It’s not too short, so I feel more comfortable. I would also consider wearing black tights with it. Super cute to dress it up!
Leopard has been a huge staple for me this year! I can’t get enough. My leopard bag is only $64 and fits literally everything I need. You can wear it as a cross body (has a detachable strap), as well. I’ve seen a lot of leopard bags, but I ended up picking this one, because of the print, size, and strap features.
River Island had some other amazing boots and shoes, but I was so stuck on these that I knew they’d match both outfits. When you find a great shoe that’s neutral and matches everything, you only need one! I highly recommend these, they are a closet staple and will last you season over season.
