Hi friends! Spring is quickly approaching and with warmer weather comes being outdoors and becoming more active, spending extra time in nature, and so many outdoor activities (hiking anyone?!). These sorts of fun spring & summer things use up a lot of our energy and dehydrate us. We’ve always been told how important our water intake is and I’d love to give you a quick breakdown of how much our bodies really need daily and how important it is to stay extra hydrated when performing activities or in warmer/ hot weather. That being said, it isn’t always easy! Life gets in the way, being on-the-go, and forgetting or considering it a chore makes drinking water throughout the day hard to do! I got you covered. Today I’m sharing 3 Easy Ways to Drink More Water!

THE BENEFITS TO STAYING HYDRATED
Before we get into the tips I have to help you drink more water, I think it’s important to go over WHY it’s so necessary and what the benefits are! Those points alone can be motivation to be more on top of your daily intake.
BENEFITS INCLUDE:
- Protection to body organs & tissues
- Helping kidneys & liver flush out waste
- Lubricating your joints
- Regulating your body temperature
- Controlling calorie intake
- Can help clear your skin
- Helps rid you of headaches or migraines
- Providing you with LOTS of energy!
Now let’s get to the tips!
ALWAYS CARRY A WATER BOTTLE
I think something a lot of us tend to forget or don’t realize is that a lot of drinks we consume throughout the day DEHYDRATE us (where are my daily coffee drinkers at?!) My top tip that anyone can do no matter where we’re headed is to have a go-to water bottle to grab before heading out (or to have by your work station if you WFH.) One of my favorites is the Reduce Stainless Steel Tumbler. It’ll keep your water cold for up to 34 hours and is available on Amazon for $30!
TRY WATERDROP
If anyone struggles to drink enough water because of the lack of taste or if you’re a soda drinker (like my husband) and is looking to substitute that craving…try waterdrop! I personally don’t drink soda, but I always need to drink more water and prefer drinking something with flavor! Waterdrop makes micro tablets that can go in water or sparkling water! It is 100% sugar free, low calories (like literally 5 calories), and a healthy water alternative. This weekend ONLY, you can get 15% off with my code MELISS15 (case sensitive!) Ends Sunday 3/13.
ADD IT TO YOUR DAILY SCHEDULE
Okay…bare with me on this one. It might sound silly, but it’s worked for me so I think it can be a great idea! The tip is to literally add it into your daily schedule in words. Whether you use a daily planner, prefer a physical calendar (or virtual like iCal), or just use your Notes App to plan each day, take a few minutes to pop in the words, “drink water” throughout the entire day to equal up to 2 liters per day. I’d recommend every 45 minutes but this can be a personal preference and can be adjusted! I promise it’ll make you feel overall better and will give you the energy you need to make it a great day everyday!
I hope these tips help you stay hydrated on the daily!
