Hi everyone! Spring is right around the corner and this is the best time to start planning for a spring refresh and for some much-needed spring cleaning. A refresh to your wardrobe, home, or almost anything can make a huge difference in your mindset and habits.
I’ve always been into interior design and home decorating (having our new home built is definitely a project I’m thriving in.), but now that we’ve moved into our new home I’m having SO much fun with it! And learning who I would actually shop from again. With all of the furniture, decor, and appliances we’ve ordered, I think I’ve gotten a good idea of which retailers are the most reliable for home goods in terms of quality, longevity, and type of inventory. I’m hoping to take some of the guess work out of ordering home goods that will check those boxes! Today I’m sharing Reliable Stores to Shop for Home Goods.

OKOA HOME
I found Okoa on Instagram, and immediately fell in love with their site. We ordered a few items from them, and I’ll share details below, including pros/cons to shopping here (mostly pros!).
Our Woven Mango Cane Bed is from Okoa Home and was just perfect in our guest room! I love the natural tone. Most of Okoa’s home goods have a neutral, simple & timeless style. I usually go for those types of pieces because they’re easy to work with in terms of decor and make any space look clean and fresh.
We also ordered our kitchen table (HERE) and chairs (HERE). from Okoa. Their items are on the pricier side, but so worth it because they’ll last (great quality products).
We’re still waiting on our kitchen table, but the chairs and bed are here! I’ve also purchased some accessories (accent pillows and kitchen items) that ship really quickly and are beautiful. The downside is their future has really long wait times (our table was ordered in August and we’re still waiting for it in March), and their customer service is very slow to respond. They do always reply, but it does take them time, which I think is a downside. However, with that said, I still would order from the brand again and again! The quality of their products is amazing. They also hooked you guys up with 10% off using code ‘ALWAYSMELISS10′.
Since I can attest to the quality of their furniture, I rounded up 5 pieces I’m eyeing that will refresh any space. The Off-White Boucle Chair is perfect as a neutral accent! I also included a Media Console made of the same material/style as our guest room bed!

POTTERY BARN
Pottery Barn is definitely a great go-to for both furniture & home decor. Their quality is amazing and has been consistent in my experience! We recently purchased our Geometric Console Table from there- made of solid pine wood (see above photo). They have a TON of new items added to their “dreaming of spring” Outdoor Collection plus light & airy neutral spring pieces. I rounded up my top 5 picks to shop for a home refresh including this Office Organization Collection (home office refresh anyone?!)

WALMART
It’s no surprise that I love me some Walmart! They have some amazing affordable pieces, and this is where I got my favorite Egg Chair. It’s a segment piece and can go indoors or outdoors. They have a huge selection of home goods from appliances to decor. I’m definitely a fan of some of the neutral decor pieces (rounded up a few picks below) and their furniture! I included some of their new outdoor furniture pieces since they are more affordable and I definitely recommend it as a save option!

TARGET
Target is another one of my go-to retailers for affordable home goods! I’ve purchased tons of neutral home accents and miscellaneous decor pieces shown in the snippets of my home above. The Marble Arch Figurine, Ceramic Vase and Marble Stone Bookends are all Target finds! I really love how they add a touch of chic style to the space. I rounded up some more decor finds you’ll want to grab to freshen up your space!

KATHY KUO
I could not be happier with the way our kitchen has turned out, so far! I turned to Kathy Kuo after having friends rave about the company. We just got our Woven Rope Barstools. They were a splurge, but SO worth it! Both the counter stools and Ceiling Pendant Lights from Kathy Kuo Home are just what we needed. The brand made the list because it really is reliable in terms of consistent quality, customer service, and inventory.
One thing I want to point out that many furniture companies have not done for us, is Kathy Kuo sends status updates just about every few weeks on your order. We knew these barstools were backordered, and every few weeks, Kathy Kuo would send an estimated date of delivery. It was nice, because we didn’t have to worry about guessing when things would arrive! Great customer service, in my opinion.
CRATE AND BARREL
I love both Crate and Barrel and cb2. We’ve purchased a handful of items from both stores over the last 10 years, and are always impressed. Above in our kitchen corner is the Onslow Tray Basket from Crate and Barrel. I love how timeless so much of their stuff is! Not only do they have great quality kitchen essentials but you can also find some staple furniture that’s sure to last.
I trust the quality of this brands, because I’ve purchased my fair share from them over the years! Not to mention their decor pieces are stunning as well. I picked out some neutral pieces (all new arrivals) that are easy to add to any space for a spring refresh.
I hope these picks help inspire your spring cleaning and refresh!
