Hi friends!!
I hope you all had the BEST holiday weekend and are so ready for New Year’s Eve!
Does anybody know how 2021 flew by so quickly?! I can’t believe the year is coming to an end but I’m definitely excited to see what the year 2022 has to hold. At the end of every year, I love to reflect on all the ups and downs, what I’m truly grateful for, and I always set goals for myself to achieve in the new year.
Beginning the new year off on the right foot is how you set the tone for the other 364 days! I got you covered with everything from taking your vitamins to trying out dry January (more on this below!) Today I’m sharing 5 Ways to Kick the New Year Off Right.
In case you missed it, I shared a blog post that’ll help you get your closet organized for the new year!

START TAKING YOUR VITAMINS seriously
One super easy way to get on track with your health in the new year is to get into the habit of taking your multivitamins daily! This was one of my goals for 2021 and ever since I subscribed to Ritual, I have taken I my vitamins almost every single day this past year! I even subscribe Jesse to the men’s vitamins. If you’ve never heard about them, I’ll give you a quick rundown on why I can’t recommend Ritual enough:
Quality: none of their vitamins contain unnecessary ingredients and they are intensely researched. They also invested in a clinical trial to quantify the impact of their product!
Traceability: every ingredient is traceable to the supplier so you know exactly what you’re putting in your body.
Convenience: They’re at your doorstep every month and they offer bundles for any member of the family from kids to anyone 50 years or older!
A few more notable things to consider are that they’re vegan, non-GMO, project verified, gluten free, formulated without major allergens & of course, they offer free delivery!

GET INTO A FITNESS ROUTINE
This is definitely one of the most common goals for the new year- and for good reason! Getting into a weekly routine of working out either at home or at the gym is so important for our physical and mental health. It can be tough to get motivated, especially if yo take some time off (trust me, we’ve all been there!)
Here are a few little things I like to do that help get me motivated:
Cute workout outfits: I love matching sets, or sports bras and leggings that are easy to mix and match! I’ve experienced a lot of trial and error with different brands and I always come back to a solid bunch (including the Lululemon Align leggings & the HeyNuts Essential ll leggings from Amazon which are a great Lululemon dupe!)
Fun exercise equipment: just like wearing workout clothes I feel good in, I also love getting some cute workout equipment like patterned yoga mats, pastel ankle and wrist weights, and a good quality water bottle. It’s the little things! Amazon has a
Write it down: turning your intentions into written words works wonders! I recommend using a planner and writing “WORKOUT” into your to-do list as a priority task and also write in what body parts you’re focusing on for that session or what exact workouts you plan on doing. If you don’t use a planner, you can use Notes in your phone for this!

DO A JUICE CLEANSE
A 3-10 day juice cleanse always helps me to detox & feel refreshed. I find that a sweet spot for the amount of days is about 5. If you’ve never done a juice cleanse, I’ll give you a short rundown on what it entails! You can either make your own juices or purchase pre-filled bottles for however many days you choose. I would recommend making your own! The Breville Juice Fountain Plus is a great juicer if you don’t already have one! It’s available on Amazon for under $160! Plus, you can get this 6-pack of 18oz Leakproof Glass Juicing Bottles (also found these 12oz set of 12 BPA Free Plastic Juicing Bottles for under $20!) to fill up at home.
The potential benefits, to name a few, include kick striating a weight loss journey (a benefit if that’s a goal of yours), consuming more vitamins & minerals from fruits, boosting your immune system & increasing energy, and can make your gut work more effectively.
So why not give your digestive system a rest and start the new year off by eliminating toxins from your body!
Here are the only tools you’ll need to juice at home (minus the fruits!):
CHALLENGE YOURSELF TO TRY DRY JANUARY
Dry January refers to cutting alcohol consumption out for the month. There are so many benefits to this challenge! In terms of health, you’ll be giving your liver a break by helping to reduce alcohol-induced inflammation. This alone is a great reason to do it! Also, the lifestyle benefits like not having to deal with nasty hangovers, cutting out lots of empty calories, and saving money are goals you may have the intention of achieving in the new year and a dry January will help you get there!
I did it last year & am definitely doing it again this year. I encourage you to do it with me, you won’t regret it!
Below, I linked a bunch of my absolute favorite non-alcoholic beers & seltzers that I think you’ll love:
GET A PLANNER and actually use it!
Let’s face it, most of us have been guilty of buying a pretty new planner at some point in our lives with the intention to use it everyday… but totally slacked! Let’s try to make this year the one to actually put them to good use! A daily planner is one of the best ways to get organized at the start of the new year. I love using mine for to-do lists, weekly or monthly goals, little reminders, and to keep my headspace clear. If you can use it everyday for a whole month, the chances are you’ll adopt it as a habit!
