Hi friends!! Hope your week is treating you well. I went to Austin a few weeks ago with 9 of my blogger friends, and am sharing our itinerary and some recommendations for Austin, as well as an outfit round up. If you followed my stories on Instagram, you saw how much fun we had!
Accommodations
We stayed in downtown Austin at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel. If you haven’t seen it, it’s incredibly gorgeous! The Fairmont is brand new and we were extremely impressed with the property.
We took full advantage of being downtown by walking to Soul Cycle for a spin class, eating at local restaurants, and hitting up the bars on Rainey Street.
Here’s a quick view of our room. We were fortunate enough to have one of the corner suites. We had a full living room, complete with a dining room table for 8 and a full sitting area! It was amazing and at night we’d just hang out at the room and chill. It had a full bathroom, and our room and one other room were directly attached. Couldn’t have been more perfect!
The pool at the hotel was also incredible! The views are 360 of downtown Austin, and it’s truly a beautiful space. They have a full bar, as well. We hung out at the cabana and had champagne and bites, it was delicious!
Itinerary & Details
Friday
We arrived around 10am and took an Uber from the airport to the hotel. It was about a 25-30 minute ride, and was only $30.
Once we got settled in our rooms (was so nice they let us check in early!), we went straight to South Congress to have lunch and explore the area.
We were originally planning on eating at Torchy’s Taco’s, but the line was SO long that we walked down the street and stumbled upon SoCo Cafe. It was incredible! We ate brunch and had mimosas on their porch. Highly recommend it.
After lunch we went over to Kendra Scott’s new Flagship store on South Congress to see their brand new summer line.
For dinner, we made reservations at Kona Grill at the Domain. The Domain is a huge center with everything from shopping to restaurants and bars, to hotels and everything in between!
Saturday
Saturday morning Aubrey, Tanner, Kelsey and I woke up and walked over to Soul Cycle downtown for an 8:30am spin class. If you haven’t been to Soul Cycle, I’m absolutely addicted! I miss living in NYC and having a location nearby. It’s a little pricy, but I swear it’s the absolute BEST spin work out you’ll ever get.
After spin, the girls and I walked over to Modern Market (next door to Soul Cycle) for coffee and breakfast.
We went back and hung out at the hotel for a bit, and went to Southern Hippie Boutique for shopping and smoothies! Inside the boutique is actually a smoothie shop called Blenders & Bowls. They have several locations in Austin (including one that’s a walk away from the Fairmont downtown).
For dinner, we went back to the Domain and had dinner at Punch Bowl Social. I’ve been to Punch Bowl before, and it’s a great spot for larger groups! They have tons of big tables, and a few large bars. They also have games, so if you want to have nightly entertainment, that’s your spot!
Sunday
Sunday we went to the cutest little brunch spot at Hotel Ella, called Goodall’s Kitchen. We had mimosas, coffee, and yummy breakfast! The prices are extremely reasonable, and it’s full of great spots for photos!
We hung out the rest of the day on the roof deck at the pool in our cabana and had the best time! It’s so beautiful up there. I can’t wait to go back!
We decided on Sunday that we were going to wing it for dinner and sprinted to In N Out burger! It’s funny, we have a few locations in Scottsdale and I never go! I was so excited to get my fave burger and fries in Austin, though.
A few of us decided to go out on Rainey Street for a few hours. If you haven’t been to Rainey, it’s old houses turned into bars and it’s SO fun! One of the bars had an actual slide in it. We’ve never had more fun! Rainey is also a walk away from the Fairmont, so it was great to just walk home when we were ready to go back.
Monday
A few of the girls had super early flights, and the rest of us went to Geraldines for lunch. Our intention was to get brunch, but we ended up walking to Rainey and liked the menu. It was a bit limited, and more specialty but the food was amazing!
I hope this helps guide you around Austin! Be sure to follow me on Instagram for more up-to-date posts and outfits.
