Let’s talk bed sheets! Bed sheets are an item I used to despise investing in. I’d go spend $100 on a dress I’ll wear a few times without thinking, however, when it came time to shop for bed sheets I would cheap out. Our first set in our Arizona home was from a sale at Tuesday Morning. They were super mediocre bed sheets. They ended up getting a hole in them, so it was time to upgrade! At first I made the HUGE mistake of buying $32 “5 star rated” Amazon sheets. Let me tell you, it was like sleeping on paper! I DO NOT recommend. I’m still shocked at how many positive reviews there are. So, after that terrible experience, I took to Instagram and asked my community on stories which bed sheets were the best to invest in. Brooklinen came back with an overwhelming recommendation. That was over a year ago, so today I’m sharing a full review on Brooklinen and talking about the bed sheets that are actually worth the money!

My Journey To Good Bed Sheets
When Jesse and I moved to Arizona from New York City, we bought 1 pair of bedsheets for our new King Size Bed. I remember buying the most affordable set, as we were on a super tight budget in 2015. That one pair did the job and lasted us for 4 years! By year 4, they got a hole and we really needed another set of bed sheets.
I’d seen a ton of bloggers posting about these Amazon sheets, and how amazing they were! I checked them out, and saw they had 30k 5 star reviews and they were under $40! I was sold. I ordered them and within 24 hours my Amazon Prime sheets had arrived!
I tossed them in the wash, threw them on the bed, hopped in SO excited, only to be shocked at how loose the sheets were (you know what I mean??), and physically felt like rough paper towel. HOW could these amazing 5 star influencer recommended sheets be SO freaking terrible??
I refused to take them off. Jesse and I proceeded to have a terrible night’s sleep. We both woke up in the morning and knew those HAD to go. I then learned that not all sheets are created equal!
Naturally I took to Instagram and asked my community what they recommend. Hands down the highest recommended bed sheets were Brooklinen!
The Bed Sheets We Should Have Invested In From The Start
Before ordering the terrible Amazon sheets, I had checked out Brooklinen and considered ordering. I didn’t move forward strictly because I was determined to spend under $50 on sheets. Well, clearly I learned quality is more important.
In reality, I spend $100 on a sweater or dress that I’ll wear 10 times or less, but we sleep on bed sheets every single night and I didn’t want to spend over $50. Super silly, in hindsight!
Once I did the math, I realized how ridiculous I was being. The king size bed sheet set set I wanted cost $159. If we used these sheets 50% of the time (every other week), it would only cost about 80 cents a day for the year, and obviously I was keeping them much longer than a year! So, we pulled the trigger.

An Honest Brooklinen Luxe Sheet Review
After having such high hopes for the Amazon sheets, I wasn’t sure what to expect with Brooklinen! So I did the same routine, they arrived days after ordering, I immediately tossed them in the wash, and made the bed once they were clean.
Before even sleeping on them it was a night and day difference! The corners pulled tight (which is exactly what you want when you hop into bed), leaving no random wrinkles. They were soft, but not too stretchy, and we legitimately slept like babies!
We initially had the Ivory Luxe Core Sheet Set (included 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, and 2 pillowcases) for a year. Last month I treated us to a second set! This time I went for the Classic Hardcore Bundle. The Brooklinen Bundle included 1 Core Sheet Set, 1 Duvet Cover, and 2 extra Pillowcases.
I loved that the Duvet Cover was machine washable! Plus the more you wash them, the softer they get. Not to mention, the cover actually has ties on the inside, ensuring that it won’t slip away from the actual duvet! It’s genius, and probably my favorite feature of this duvet cover.
Anyways, I could go on and on, but in short, I can’t recommend Brooklinen enough! Don’t waste your time looking at all of the Amazon reviews, they 100% don’t compare (I’ve done the sleep test and research for you!). This blog post is also not sponsored.
