It’s FINALLY here… the long anticipated closet room reveal! My husband Jesse and I relocated 4 years ago from NYC to my hometown Scottsdale, Arizona. We legitimately moved from a 500 square foot apartment to a 1400 square foot 3 bedroom house, which was a HUGE change for us! We finally had space, and were able to turn one room into an office (transformation blog post HERE) and another into a closet room.
Recently I decided it was time to make my closet room more organized and better suited for me. I wanted to keep the cost down, since we are renting and ultimately would love to buy a house in the next year or two. Investing a lot into a room that we don’t own didn’t seem to make sense (hence no paining and no wallpaper). However, I was able to get ALL of my stuff to fit into the room with zero issues and the help of lots of space organizers.
Check out my home office transformation!

The Reveal
My $24 shoe shelves are the absolute best part of this room! I knew I wanted (and needed) wall to wall storage, needed major organization, as well as sticking to a budget.
I found these shelves at Target for only $24!! So the ENTIRE wall was done for just $100. Most of the other shelves I found were well over $150 each. They were easy to put together (I did it myself), and are very sturdy.
I also prefer my shoes to be stacked. Aside from them adding more space, I personally prefer the look of using a shoe space saver. I went with these, and they’re under $20 for a set of 6!
I ordered my mirrored vanity for under $300 four years ago when we moved. This is my EXACT vanity! I’ve always wanted a vanity, and love the mirrored look. It’s extremely easy to clean, and truly goes with any home decor space.
The acrylic makeup organizers sit nicely on it, and it also has two drawers where I can store my makeup palettes, mascara, and other such items.
This wood clothing rack (which also comes in black and metal) was only $51 on Amazon Prime and took all of 5 minutes to put together! It’s durable and offered the extra storage I needed in my closet room. I typically hang new clothes there or outfits that I need to shoot in.
My hats could definitely be a bit more organized, but I NEED to see them so I know what I’ve got (don’t ask!). I basically threw them all on the wall (just over nails) but will probably re organize in the next few months. I just kept colors together, so I can easily grab what I want to wear.
The cube storage is under $40 and was also a Target purchase! It’s the best way for me to have travel items, decor, sunglass cases, photos, and other items organized without being seen. I hate having clutter (and am naturally a cluttered person), so these were extremely helpful!
On top of the cubed storage, I have another acrylic jewelry organizer, acrylic sunglass organizer and jewelry tree. All of which are extremely affordable (under $30) and from Amazon! You can shop them below:
The jewelry armoire is old, I purchased it in 2011 when I moved to NYC. I absolutely LOVE mine, because it stores so much and I love when everything has a home. Here are a few similar options:
I hope you enjoyed my closet room reveal! I’ll be sharing a full tour on my Instagram stories, so be sure to follow me there to see it!
