Hi friends! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. I spent time re-organizing my home office. Since most of us are home, we have plenty of time to think about home projects that we’ve put aside.
Last year I transformed my barely used guest bedroom into a home office (in case you didn’t know, both myself and my husband work from home, so it was vital!) and it was time for a refresh. Today I’m sharing our home office design update!
You can check out the initial transformation on this blog post!
I want to start by saying, I absolutely LOVED our initial transformation. It was so fun seeing the change. I spent under $250 re-designing the space, and I’m excited to share the photos below.
The Home Office Design Update
Home Office Decor
To transform the home office, we didn’t want to spend much money. I evaluated what would make a huge difference!
Overall we spent about $250 on some new shelving decor, the rug, and desk items.
Fun fact, I used to work for an office supply company for a couple of years when I lived in New York City. I more-so helped design office spaces for large companies and start ups, but it’s always been a passion of mine!
Here’s the items I bought and added to my desk:
Here’s the items I added to decorate the room and shelving unit:
- Planters & Artificial Plants
- Rug (mine is a 6′ x 9′)
- Large Floor Mirror
The Updates
We moved rearranged the furniture. The desk moved to the wall with the large mirror on the opposite side.
We bought a new rug! I loved this one, and it’s under $100 (such a steal for the quality).
I added a few desk items and updated the shelving decor just a bit.
Took down one of the gold frames, and I’m adding a blanket ladder (will add the details next week when it arrives!
It doesn’t take much to re-design a home office or any home space! I hope this helps inspire you to redecorate a bit.
