Hotel Adeline
Good Morning!! Hope you all had a wonderful July 4th. My husband and I had every intention of doing a pool day, but we wound up going couch shopping instead. So excited to share details on our it! In the meantime, I wanted to share my experience at the Hotel Adeline for my girls weekend last week!
My favorite blogger babes in Scottsdale have turned into amazing friends (Jessica, Makenna, and Erin!). I’m fortunate enough to have three girlfriends who I get along with SO well and also share the same passion with. The four of us decided to do a girls weekend and have heard amazing reviews about Hotel Adeline. It was a natural choice, especially because we all live near by and wanted to check out the scene.
Room:
The hotel is set up like an old motel. I believe it was actually converted from one, so the aesthetic is a bit modern retro. The doors on the outside of the room are turquoise (so cute), and when you walk in you just feel like you’re in such a swanky place! I loved the aesthetic. The rooms were spacious and you could tell there was a ton of detail and thought put into the design. I loved how it felt so warm and welcoming!
The bathroom was on the smaller side, but honestly, there was still plenty of room for us both to get ready, and there’s a large mirror with a built in desk and tons of natural lighting, so there was no problem coordinating our mornings.
Our room overlooked the pool, which was awesome. The only downside is we walked all of our stuff up the stairs and we weren’t given any direction on how to park right outside the room (and there was a code). I probably should have asked, but I just left my car in the front of the hotel. We definitely got a workout in bringing our stuff up and down the stairs. NO idea if they even had an elevator, we couldn’t find one.
We got two double rooms (I shared with Makenna, and Jess and Erin bunked up). There was more than enough space for the two of us and our 10,000 outfits, rolling rack, suit cases, shoe and bag collection. OH and the wine.
Overall I absolutely loved the design and feel. Only downside was I couldn’t get my car parked by the room, but we definitely burned some extra calories walking up and down so much!
The other thing I love is this is a dog friendly hotel. There were super cute doggies on the property, which if you know me, you know that’s a huge upside!
Amenities:
- Pool
- Pool Bar/Food and full service
- Restaurant
- Room Service (which we didn’t take advantage of)
- pool paddle board class
Pool:
The Pool was literally the focal point of the entire hotel and I absolutely LOVED it!!
They threw a massive pool party between noon and 6pm on Saturday, which was so fun. I wish we would have gotten a cabana, because they were stocked with water, soda, tea, etc. Plus I always get way too much sun after a few hours.
The hotel hired a bomb DJ, who played some great music. Call me crazy, but after a few hours (and not enough to drink), I was over the loud music. Everyone who was in the pool was loving it, and this fiesta certainly brought the hotel some great summer business, which is great. Personally I preferred laying out on Sunday when it was calm and I got some much needed R&R.
Food:
The girls and I ate lunch at the restaurant at the hotel, and we all ordered different things. Jess and Erin got chicken salads, Makenna got a BLT and I got a burger. I can’t eat too much gluten or I get sick, and the kitchen was beyond accommodating and made me a burger with a lettuce wrap. So nice! The bartender was a serious magician. He literally had the entire restaurant and bar to serve on his own and he killed it. We never really waited for longer than a few minutes, and we weren’t even sitting by all of the folks in the bar he was serving. The service at this hotel was stellar! To be honest, that outweighs EVERYTHING for me.
We went to the restaurant for breakfast, and they opened up the back area in the morning. It was super quick, you just walk up and order. It was great, because we were able to eat quickly and not waste the morning.
From the time I walked up and ordered my eggs, they were brought to my table within five minutes. I thought the prices were super fair, as well. Prices ranged between $10 and $15 for breakfast. The coffee was actually cold brew, which normally I love but it tasted like it was about to tap and the nitrogen was in there. To be honest, the barista couldn’t have been nicer and I felt bad telling him it didn’t taste great. He made me a latte in 3 seconds. Such good service! I was very impressed.
Neighborhood:
I don’t live too far from this hotel, which was convenient. If I was from out of town, this would be my go to hotel! It’s super clean, the renovations are swanky, the staff is amazing, and the location is in the middle of everything! Old town scottsdale is such a hot spot. The mall is right across the street, and there’s tons of bars and restaurants within walking distance. This is the ultimate location!
Overall I had such a fun weekend at the Hotel Adeline and if I had to rate my stay I’d give it a 4.5 out of 5! I hope to come back to this hotel soon.
