I’m sure many of you can’t wait to get together with friends or family and hit the slopes. Whether it’s your first time or you’re basically a pro, I figured I’d share what’s on my list of things to pack to stay warm and toasty both during and après ski! Today I’m sharing the What to Pack for a Ski Trip.
In case you missed it, I shared 3 gift guides you’ll want to check out for the holidays!

For the Slopes
I rounded up some of my top picks to shop and pack for the great outdoors! When you’re packing, a few things to keep in mind are one, layers are good! If you work up a sweat, it’s nice to be able to take off your gloves, headband, or jacket for a few minutes to cool back down. And two, a stylish outfit is worth it- you’ll want to use the beautiful scenery and your cute fit as a photo op!
Ski Jacket – this windbreaker is an Amazon find! It’s waterproof, hooded & retains heat.
Ski Pants – these waterproof pants are also an Amazon find! The relaxed fit is great for ease of movement.
Turtleneck Sweater – a turtle neck is my go-to under a ski jacket. It’s cozy, cute, and keeps your neck warm!
Fleece-lined Leggings – I love the feeling of soft fleece-lined leggings under snow pants. Super toasty! These are a Target find and are only $30!
All-weather Gloves – how cute are these quilted gloves?! They have a shearling trim and are also touchscreen compatible.
Sherpa Headband – I found the cutest knot front sherpa headband from Banana Republic! This totally completes the look and will keep you extra warm.
Ski Socks – this 2-pack sock bundle is available on Amazon for under $20! A good pair of ski socks are arguably the top 3 most important pieces of gear.
EXTRAS:
Gaiter (Tube Scarf) – a gaiter is so important to cover your nose and mouth with! The winds can be super strong skiing down the hills and you’ll thank yourself later! This ribbed tube scarf is from H&M!
Ski Helmet – if you don’t want to rent a helmet, the best idea is to bring your very own! I found a super cute matte pink one from Amazon (also comes in a bunch of other colors) with a durable shell, protective foam, cooling vents and is perfectly adjustable.
Small Cardholder – you won’t want to worry about your valuables and you wouldn’t bring your purse out with you, so a thin wallet like this nude Gucci cardholder is the best way to bring your credit cards, some cash and ID!
Aprés Ski
Here are my top picks to shop and pack for your après ski activities! For these items, I kept in mind that you want to feel your coziest but still look cute because who are we kidding…this is also a great time for a photo op on the slopside while you toast a great day out!!
Fleece Hoodie– this soft fleece hoodie is by TOPSHOP from Nordstrom. It’s perfect for a warm toasty vibe- also comes in white!
SPANX Leggings – faux leather is trending! These are one of my favorite pairs of leggings and it adds the perfect touch to this look.
Sorel Boots – I love these boots because they’re warm but also look great with almost any casual outfit!
Barefoot Dreams Socks – these are probably the coziest socks of all time. They also look super cute paired with the fleece hoodie!
Pom Beanie – stay warm AND in style with this tan pom beanie from Abercrombie!
Plaid Scarf – love this neutral plaid scarf! It’s from Banana Republic Factory and 50% off RIGHT NOW!
Knit Gloves – These gloves complete the look and I love how soft they are. They’re a Target find!
EXTRAS:
Bathing Suit – who doesn’t love a hot tub session after a long day out in the snow?! I know I do. I liked the cutest cut out one piece bathing suit from Amazon that you’ll definitely want to add to your cart!
I hope this list helps you prepare and pack efficiently for your next ski trip! Here are all the picks to shop:
