First and foremost, I typically dress myself for comfort over style. However, as you all know (since you’re reading my blog post) I’m a fashion blogger and am always drawn to be dressed my best. That doesn’t mean I have to compromise comfort, though!
I spotted these incredible sweatpants from Revolve and had to have them! They’re currently ON SALE and come in two colors. I’m wearing an XS and they run true to size.
Today I’m sharing 3 tips on how to dress up sweatpants.
The Guide to Dressing Up Sweatpants
Wear them with a fitted top!
Sweatpants are generally baggy, so you need to style them with a fitted top. I went with this one shoulder ribbed grey top, because the one shoulder made a casual look a bit dressier, and it was easy to tuck it into the sweats.
Here’s some fitted tops I would style with sweat pants or joggers!
Throw on a heel!
The easiest way to dress any look up is to wear a heel! I love my Schutz cork sandals, so I went with those. You can definitely wear a pump, as well.
For shoes, I’d recommend a heeled sandal like these:
Do your hair and makeup!
Ok I get it, this sounds “obvious” but it’s not! By wearing my hair down and wavy, it dresses up this look. Not to mention, do your makeup! If you look presentable in sweatpants, no one will think they’re sweatpants! They’ll probably call them joggers 🙂
