Hi Everyone! Recently I teamed up with Pantene and embarked on a 14 Day “Great Hair Day” Challenge. I’m sharing my experience during the 14 days, so you can hear about how Pantene’s Repair & Protect Shampoo and Conditioner worked for me and determine if this product can potentially get you out of a hair rut!
1 in 10 women experience great hair days (according to a recent Yale University study). Good for them! Not so good for the 9 out of 10 of us who don’t. I consider myself lucky in a sense; I have a lot of fine hair, and it grows quickly, however my hair is extremely damaged. I’ve been using hot tools on my hair daily for years! Not to mention the bi-monthly bleaching, so I can have the blonde color hair I love.
When Pantene reached out and I heard about their Repair & Protect Shampoo and Conditioner, and said it only takes 14 days to experience hair repair, I knew this was a match (or at least worth a try). Personally, I’m excited to share my journey with you, because when my hair feels and looks great, my confidence is elevated.
Something to note before I bring you along my journey, I only wash my hair every 3 to 4 days. There’s no need for me to wash it more, but that meant in 14 days, I was only washing it 4 to 5 times max. With that said, here is my Pantene hair diary!
Day 1 – Prior to my first wash, my hair was feeling very dry. I was trying to think of other words to describe it, but even when it’s oily, it feels harsh and dry. I’ve tried SO many shampoos and conditioners. Most of them over promise and under deliver (let’s be real). So, I went into this skeptical or at least thinking it would take me the full two weeks and 4 to 5 washes to even feel any difference.
Well that’s where I was wrong!
Wash 1 was surprising. First of all, the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing! They’re a little bit floral, but not overwhelmingly scented. I have quite a sensitive sense of smell, so it was right on point.
I was impressed with the fact that I didn’t need a lot of shampoo for my hair to feel clean. Usually I use a full palms worth of shampoo and I feel like it’s never clean enough from all the dry shampoo I use between washes! Same went for the conditioner. I used about two quarters size and it lathered my hair seamlessly. The one thing that stood out to me was how thick the conditioner was. It truly coated every strand of my hair without wasting any product!
It may sound crazy, but my hair was ten times easier to brush than ever before! I get horrible knots in my wet hair, but this time it was like I brushed through silk. My hair was so smooth! “How can this be real life?” is what was going through my head.
I couldn’t believe how fast the Pantene Repair & Protect Shampoo and Conditioner immediately helped treat my hair, and I could brush it straight through. Huge perk for me!
Day 7 – Three washes in and my hair feels so smooth and silky! Honestly, my hair feels like butter. The major difference between day 1 and day 7, is the smoothness of my hair. It’s so soft and feels less dry and absolutely looks more vibrant. It also took me about four minutes less to blow dry my hair, which is crazy! It never takes me less time than about 12 minutes. Unreal!
Day 14 – The final wash of the challenge! I’m sincerely amazed at the effectiveness of the Repair & Protect Collection. My hair is significantly more bouncy, shiny, and soft. Not to mention this product is extremely affordable (under $15 for both bottles)! I used to spend $35 on one bottle of fancy shampoo, which I’m realizing was totally unnecessary considering it didn’t even help protect it.
After the 14 days, I’m elated that I was able to be a part of this challenge. I feel more confident and can style my hair much faster than I could before. I love how much healthier my hair looks and feels! I keep running my hands through it.
I honestly encourage you to try this, because my results were so effective There’s NO reason to live with bad hair days when you can have great ones. You can check out the products HERE, and I’d love to hear if you take on the Pantene 14 Day Challenge!
xoxo, Melissa
