Hi Loves! Last weekend was seriously too much fun! I went to Chico Malo in Downtown Phoenix with some of my favorite AZ blogger babes.

I realize I’m sharing about our brunch, but I have to say, if you haven’t been to Downtown Phoenix you must go! It’s completely transformed (more than just a little face lift) since I was a kid and has become a hot spot. There’s tons of amazing bars and restaurants, and if you’re also a blogger there’s incredible murals all over the downtown area.

Chico Malo is a restaurant in the heart of Downtown Phoenix at City Scape. They graciously hosted myself and 19 other Arizona bloggers for a super cute brunch. I had a really hard time deciding what to wear, since it’s already over 100 degrees in AZ and I’ve been lucky enough to find some amazing new clothes lately!

We were greeted with delicious mimosas, and if someone hands me a mimosa the chances of me saying “no thanks” are literally zero!! After mingling (and the obvious few photos), we sat down at a long table with amazing fruit platters and chips and guacamole ready and waiting for us. I loved that, because I was starving! My typical breakfast time is around 8am, and it was already 11, so it was nice they had the fruit platters and guac waiting for us.

There were super cute menus, which I realize I failed at taking photos of (swear I was trying to enjoy the moment and getting to know some amazing local ladies) which listed out our main course and dessert. Since Chico Malo is a Mexican restaurant, they incorporated a hispanic flare to our food, which I love. Our main was a poached egg over a crostini with black beans and hollandaise sauce. I may be the only person on the planet that literally hates hollandaise sauce, and I definitely got some looks when I was move the sauce along. The food was delicious (even without the sauce, I know it’s crazy!) but when they brought dessert, I was already stuffed. Dessert was…. french toast with ice cream. OMG so good!
