This weekend was SO much fun! Makenna and I packed up our Lexus SUV (thanks Lexus!) and jetted up north for some fall foliage.
As most of you know, I lived in Manhattan for four years. I always miss the beautiful fall leaves when autumn weather hits. I miss the brisk air, the ability to go apple picking, and cute fall coats.
There’s no reason to make this a negative, right? Arizona is well known for its dry heat. Most people don’t realize Northern Arizona is actually very cold in the winter and experiences all four seasons.
In this “blogger world” that I’m in, everyone is taking amazing trips and heading for fall leaves. Both Makenna and I work full time jobs, which can be challenging to find the time to do these trips. Lucky for us we were able to take full advantage of the hour and a half drive and jet up to Northern AZ for a quick getaway and foliage photos.
I always try to be real with you guys, so here it is: most of this trip was us driving off course to find fall leaves! We didn’t do anything crazy exciting, in fact our lunch was spent at Dutch Brothers coffee and CVS getting new lipstick, coffee, and a power bar. NO Complaints! I realize how fortunate I am to be this close to fall, and to be in this blogging world.
Aside from spending time with one of my favorite people, Lexus spoiled us with a brand new RX 350L! This baby drives like a dream! Seriously on my wish list.
