Hi friends! I’ve been using the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer for about a month, and absolutely love it! The hair dryer has given me the volume I want, while smoothing my hair simultaneously.
This month I posted an IGTV video (here), and I noticed SO many questions about the one step hair dryer (even from my sister!). Today I’m taking the time to answer ALL of your questions from Instagram stories about the Revlon One Step Volumizing Hair Dryer!
Your Questions Answered
How is it different than a regular hair dryer?
The Revlon One Step Hair Dryer is a one step hair dryer that gives you volume and shine in one step! A traditional hair dryer requires you to use a hair brush and the hot tool at the same time. This product is so much more efficient and easier to use for volume, shine, and style! It has 3 heat settings (cool, low and high), ceramic coating, and nylon pin bristles to help softly detangle hair.
How do you get it to stay all day? I start to get bumps in my hair or it gets frizzy.
I have a feeling you need a hair spray! My hair generally stays all day, but I live in Arizona where we have zero humidity. I recommend buying an anti-humidity spray plus a light weight hair spray to help keep your hair down! My faves below:
Is it worth the hype?
YES! It’s also very affordable (under $60), and truly works well!
Can you make a tutorial?
YES check it out HERE!
How hot does it get?
There are 3 settings: Cool, Low, and Hot. I use the hot setting!
Is it loud? Louder than a typical hair dryer?
It’s the same as my typical hair dryer.
Will this work on thin hair?
Absolutely!
Will this work well for thick curly hair? Do you still need to flat iron?
I have naturally fine hair, but a LOT of it. I’ve always used a flat iron to get my hair to look less fluffy (if that makes sense). It depends on how flat you want your hair to look! I want volume at the roots, but I don’t always use the straightener to flatten. I also recommend letting your natural hair air dry for 30 minutes or so before drying!
Do you use any heat protectants?
Yes always! Moroccanoil and Perfect Defense spray.
Does hair get tangled in it?
Mine has not (not even close). The Detangler spray I use helps, however it is created with nylon pin bristles to smooth and detangle.
Products to use with it?
I always use the Unite Detangler, then Moroccanoil and Perfect Defense spray.
I love it, but it takes me forever to dry my hair!! TIPS!
I always let my hair air dry first for about 25-30 minutes. If I’m in an absolute hurry and need it dried, I’ll use my traditional hair dryer (NO brushing) and get it to be damp, then finish with the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer.
