Happy New Years friends!! Yesterday I shared my 2020 New Year’s Resolutions and today I’m sharing the TOP ten things I bought in 2019. Hope you had a safe and fun New Years! Cheers to 2020!!
The Top 10 Items I bought in 2019
I want to start by saying, I’ve only owned a few purses for my entire adult life up until last year! One is my Louis Vuitton Neverfull (purchased in 2009!), another is my Longchomp bag, and the third is my Gigi New York tote. All of which I’ve had for well over five years, and they were all an investment that has lasted me!
This year I splurged on a couple of new bags, one of them was my black Gucci Matelasse Marmont crossbody! I actually found my bag on Fashionphile for $900 LESS than the retail price. It had some wear, but mostly just on the inside, and I’m so glad I got it resale.
Anyways, I’ve used this bag about five days a week for the past four months and have no end in site! I saved for this bag, and don’t recommend ANYONE splurging on an item if you can’t afford it. If you can, it’s the absolute BEST bag that can be dressed up or down.
Just a few of the photos I’ve captured (of the many) with this bag!!
The Abercrombie High Rise Mom Jeans are BY FAR my new favorites. As a person who lives in jeans, I’m thrilled that high rise jeans are in again. I can’t imagine ever wearing low rise jeans again!
The reason everyone needs a pair of Abercrombie’s High Rise Mom Jeans is they are insanely comfortable and above all, flattering! I have two pair, and can’t wait to get more. Abercrombie’s are also very affordable (always under $100!) and on sale frequently.
Fun fact, this is our first kitchen table EVER! When we lived in NYC we didn’t have room for a table, and for four years we’ve been using my sister’s old kitchen table. Purchasing our first dining room table was super exciting, and I can’t wait for our dining room to be complete!
The Vince Camuto Gigietta Booties were a part of the Nordstrom Sale earlier this summer. I purchased the black leather and the beige suede initially, and loved them so much I caved and ordered the snakeskin booties. They’re currently on sale for $99 (30% off) and are worth every single penny! They go well with skinny jeans, shorts, dresses, and my favorite mom jeans. I can’t tell you how comfortable they are, too! I highly recommend them. I wear a size 7 in them, which is a half size up from my regular size 6.5.
OK, confession… I bought these in 2018, BUT I just got the camo seamless ones, because I wear the black faux leather leggings so often. They’re my favorite to travel in and run errands in. I really can’t rave about these high rise faux leather leggings enough!
6. Barefoot Dreams Blanket
I’ve heard about the Barefoot Dreams blanket for years, and never wanted to spend over $100 on a blanket! Let’s be real, that is a LOT of money. During the Nordstrom Sale, I decided to splurge, and get one while it was on sale. One thing led to another, and we ended up with three! They are the absolute softest blankets in the world, and they’re also warm. My goal is to replace all of my blankets with these! They also wash really well. I just toss it into the wash alone, and dry on delicate. If you don’t have one, just dive in and get one! They’re so worth it.
Jesse bought me a Gucci cardholder for my 32nd birthday this year! I will start by saying, I own one really nice Louis Vuitton wallet and I literally never use it. I prefer using a small cardholder, and was elated with this gift! I use it everyday, and it just moves from purse to purse.
I literally cannot wake up without the Tula Rose Glow and Get It Balm! I use it every morning after washing my face and before applying my makeup. It helps me wake up, brightens my under eye and hydrates my eyes.
At least order it and try, because it’s really the best! Code ALWAYSMELISS gets you 20% off on all Tula products.
I actually own this cami in four colors and prints. It’s the best layering piece! You probably have noticed me wearing the black one for the past two years, after purchasing it at the 2018 Nordstrom Sale. It sold out in every color so quickly, that when this year’s NSale rolled around, I got the white, leopard and floral print! It’s a must have. I wear an XS and the straps adjust.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know my morning routine is to make coffee, wash my face, and ice roll! This $16 ice roller is life changing. It takes the swelling out of your face, closes your pores, and wakes you right up! I just love my ice roller.
