Happy ALMOST 2020 my friends! 2019 has been one of the best years of my life! At the end of a year, I always try to sit down and think back to reflect on everything that’s happened. Then I try to learn to make myself better.
New Years resolutions have always been daunting! I find resolutions typically fail for me, because they’re not realistic. I’d much rather spend my time slowly achieving new goals and making small steps to get there.
With that said, I encourage you to join me and make a few realistic New Years goals for yourself that you can slowly achieve throughout 2020!

A Quick 2019 Look Back
2019 was a year of learning. I was able to quit my full time gig to pursue my dream of being my own boss! How I was able to get there is in the below post:
I was able to travel and experience new cities, while meeting some of the most incredible, hard working, strong women I’ve ever met in my life!
Here’s a few trips I wrote about:
I also celebrated my one year anniversary with Jesse, which was amazing! We took a trip to Maui, and I recapped it in the below post:
With all of the blessings this year, I’ve decided it made the most sense to take a step back, reflect, and learn so that 2020 can be even better than 2019!
My 2020 New Years Goals
Be less hard on myself & stop and smell the roses!
In my work life, I’m insanely OCD. Perfection has always been what I strive for, but we all know that isn’t realistic. Cutting myself some slack has been a struggle! I rarely take time off, and I am making a promise to myself to slow down a little and enjoy a few days off a year.
Be better about saving!
I’ve always been a spender. Honestly, it’s a downfall of mine, but now that I’m working for myself, it’s super important to stay ahead! I plan on achieving this goal slowly, and steadily by putting away a particular % of income automatically and monthly.
Take Maddie and Thelma on more walks
Ok this might seem silly, but I’ve been slacking majorly on walking the dogs! The girls deserve to get out a little bit more than what we’ve been doing. I’m actually most excited for this.
Get Organized!
If you watch my stories, I’ve been doing weekly Wine Wednesday’s! Organization has been a part of it, because I am CLUTTERED. No joke, I try not to be, but I tend to not put things in their places when I need to. I know I’ll feel a lot happier and better if I just get more organized around the house.
I hope this inspires you to make some achievable goals for 2020! I can’t wait to see what this year brings. Words can’t describe how thankful I am for all of you and I sincerely look forward to another year together!!
xoxo, Melissa
