Too Faced Born This Way Foundation has been on my radar for some time. I purchased the foundation about a month ago and dove into the beautiful pink box. I haven’t looked back since! It only made sense for me to do a Too Faced Born This Way Foundation Review, after wearing this daily for a month.
Too Faced Foundation Review
Since I’ve been wearing the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation for the past month, I wanted to share a full review. I’m not big on drugstore foundations, since I have sensitive skin. I also always look for products that help my skin look smoother and more youthful (hello 30’s!). This foundation checked the boxes for my more oily skin.
When trying a new foundation, I look for the below:
Parabin Free
Medium to Full Coverage
No Strong Smells
Good Consistency (nothing too watery)
Oil Free
Long Lasting
Cruelty Free
Before pulling the trigger, I read many reviews on the Born This Way Foundation. The description and reviews checked every box.
Admittedly, I had low expectations for this foundation. Reason being, the last Too Faced face product I used, I was not crazy about (it was a bronzer though). I was proven very wrong.
This foundation gave me golden undertones and the moisture levels were perfect. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is an undetectable medium to full coverage foundation! It’s also made with hyaluronic acid, and I love how it sits delicately while replenishing my skin.
I created a full face contour YouTube tutorial using the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. Watch it HERE.
Packaging
The Too Faced Born This Way Foundation (HERE) comes in a clear pump bottle, with gold text, a gold trim at the top of the glass bottle, and a black cap.
The bottle is super cute, holds 1 oz of product, and is easy to travel with. The pump doesn’t send too much product out, either. I find that two pumps coats my face perfectly.
If you prefer a more full look, use two pumps. I use a Beauty Blender (HERE) to set the foundation, as well.
Formula
The product feels soft to the touch, and on the medium thickness side. It is vital that my foundation is set properly. After about 30 seconds, this product dries. It blends nicely, but definitely use a Beauty Blender and loose powder to set (check out the tutorial to see best practices).
I am obsessed with the fact that this product is made with Coconut Water. This helps replenish your skin’s natural moisture, without making you oily. The alpine rose scent is amazing, too!
Ingredients below:
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Isododecane, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Hexyl Laurate, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Magnesium Sulfate, Diphenyl Dimethicone, Tribehenin, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Polysilicone-11, Propylene Carbonate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Cocos Nucifera Water, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Rhododendron Ferrugineum Extract, Alcohol, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Lecithin, Pistacia Lentiscus (Mastic) Gum, Butylene Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hyaluronate, EDTA, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol. May Contain/Peut Contenir (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).
Above I put product on half of my face. You can see how great the coverage actually is! It totally evens out my skin tone.
Product Availability
The Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is available in 24 colors (they just came out with a few new ones). My color is Warm Nude. I’m light with neutral undertones.
You can get this product at:

If you’re like me and are VIB Rouge, Sephora is where I buy most of my makeup.
Wear
Too Faced makes huge promises with the Born This Way Foundation. Literally the box reads:
“This oil-free foundation masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. Coverage so undetectable and skin so naturally radiant, they’ll think you were BORN THIS WAY.”
Obviously this means, it better look natural! Let’s be honest, foundation that is medium to full is never going to look “natural.” However, that doesn’t drive me away. The product definitely blurred my imperfections, took the redness right out, and made my skin look smooth.
The foundation wears pretty well. After consistently wearing it for the past month, I am really enjoying it. The one downside is, with my oily skin, after about 5 to 6 hours, I do see oil start peeking through. To combat this, I bring loose powder with me to reset throughout the day.
Conclusion
Overall, I love this foundation! It checks all my boxes, and Too Faced lives up to their promise to “masterfully diffuse the line between makeup and skin”. I have very sensitive skin, and it does not make me break out. The consistency is perfect, and it leaves my skin feeling light weight and looking flawless.
Although it still shows oil hours in, I just love how flawless my skin looks with the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. I definitely recommend testing this foundation!
