Urban Decay Beached Collection
There aren’t enough words for the excitement I had when this beautiful Urban Decay collection landed on my doorstep! When summer rolls around, I’m all about some good bronzer and sandy nude eye shadow colors, plus some shimmery lips.
Urban Decay has been one of my go to/favorite makeup brands for years. I remember in college the only eye shadow I wanted to wear was Midnight Cowboy or Midnight Cowboy Rides Again. Both are glittery nude shadows… and I’d use them faster than any other makeup I’d ever purchased. I still have these shadows.
The thing I love about the Beachy Collection are the colors. They’re so warm and soft, plus anything to remind me of the beach is good by me! This collection came out about two month ago, so I apologize for the delayed post (wedding and honeymoon definitely got in the way a bit). As you can tell from the photo above, I am obsessed with the bronzer (I’ve hit the pan already!).
The Packaging
You have to be kidding me with this adorable packaging! It’s so well thought out and just makes me want to go to the beach. Honestly, I regret not bringing it out in the sand with me to Aruba to take photos of it outside, because the pics would have been SO cute!
The Collection
This gorgeous palette has 8 colors, including 6 neutrals and 2 blue shades. Honestly, I’m not huge into blue, but there’s 6 other incredible eye shadow colors that I would wear any day of the week! It also retails for only $34, which for an 8 shadow palette is a great deal.
3 Lipsticks
- Tower (sheer metallic peach)
- Heatwave (metallic rust)
- 100 Degrees (coral pink)
By now you probably know I’m a nude lipstick girl who loves some sparkle! For whatever reason the second summer rolls around I want gloss and shimmer (winter I’m more about the matte shades). These glide on so easily, and are a bit sheer. My favorite is Tower, because you can layer it on any lip color. This Lipstick is also VEGAN!
2 Bronzers
Bronzer has been my go to cheek product since I was allowed to wear make up! I look for two things in a bronzer:
- Consistency/Formula
- soft, easy to apply, powdery
- Color
- Soft neutral brown, not too dark, sometimes with shimmer
- colors are Sunkissed (the one I can’t stop using and have hit the pan!) and Beached Bronze (a little darker than sunkissed)
Typically I use both of these shades, because I like the way they look together. As you can see, I’ve already hit the pan! It’s only been a few weeks of me using it, but I have never used a better color for my summer tan!
- Vegan Glide on Eye Liners
I’m not going to lie, I haven’t used these, because I really stick to black eyeliner. If you like gold and bronze, these are super cute and they glide on super easily.
Overall, I am super impressed with Urban Decay and highly recommend these products! 🙂
