Girls Night Out At The Dry Bar!
Hi Loves! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. To be totally honest, I had one of the worst weeks at work that I’ve ever had! If you don’t know, I work a full time marketing job on top of blogging (which is basically full time). Sometimes it’s just exhausting, and it was one of those weeks!
I have to say, my Friday night with my girl Erin from Wink And A Twirl (check her IG and blog out!) at The Dry Bar (on Lincoln and Scottsdale) couldn’t have come at a better time.
If you haven’t been to The Dry Bar, it’s really the only place I trust to get my hair blown out. I haven’t been since I lived in New York City (so like 4 years at least!), and I was thrilled to hear they opened super close to where I live. They actually have locations all over the country now, so chances are, if you live in a big city, there’s several locations near you.
Erin and I met up for our 4:30pm appointment and were greeted by their insanely friendly staff (who offered us a drink immediately upon check in). We were a few minutes early, but they were able to get us started right away.
I wear my hair wavy a lot, so I wanted something that would complement my typical look, but a little more vampy… the stylist was so sweet and recommended the Mai Tai. It’s basically a messy wavy look, but not wild (does that make sense??). I was SO excited! They actually have an entire book of photographed hair styles, which is super helpful. In addition they do deep conditioning treatments and braids, etc. I love all of the options!
They took us back to wash our hair, which is my favorite part of getting my hair done… I don’t have to do any work! If you haven’t used Dry Bar products, I’m addicted to them. They smell SO good!!! My two ride or die products (that I always have in my vanity) are the Dry Shampoo and Triple Sec Texture Spray.
After my incredibly relaxing hair washing experience, they wrapped up my hair and brought Erin and I back to the chairs to start styling. By the way, one of the most fun parts of The Dry Bar experience, is they have a movie playing on a flat screen TV, so your entertained if you don’t want to chat or play on your phone (my M.O.).
Our stylists were so sweet and moved our chairs to face each other, since Erin and I always have so much to catch up on and chat about!
My stylist used the below products for my hair:
- Buttercup Blow Dryer
- Full Pint Medium Round Brush
- Hot Teddy Heat & UV Protectant
- 100 Proof Treatment Oil
- Southern Bell Root Lifter
I also have to say, she asked me if I wanted product or not, which I sincerely appreciated. Too much product in my hair and I have an oily mop. I’m 24 hours into my styling treatment PLUS I went to the gym this morning, and with a little Dry Shampoo my hair is still looking solid.
Erin and I were there for about an hour, and had such an amazing time! Our hair turned out exactly like we wanted, and we jetted off to a fun girls dinner at Blanco! We have a bloggers brunch next weekend and are already booking appointments for next week to get our hair done! They also have memberships, which Erin has, and I’m about to sign up. You get two blow outs a month for like $80 (don’t quote me, that may be wrong), but I am SO into that!! That’s actually less than my gym membership.
If you have a chance to get to The Dry Bar, I highly recommend it!
