Hi Friends! I’m so excited to share this post with you, because my life is legitimately changed when it comes to grocery shopping! Last week my Husband and I tried Walmart’s online grocery pickup service. Rewinding back a few years, when we lived in New York City, we always ordered our groceries. Since moving to Arizona, one of our biggest challenges is making the time to go grocery shopping. 6/7 days we eat out, and it’s purely from not making the time to grocery shop.
Until now, it hasn’t crossed our mind to start ordering groceries again!
When I heard about Walmart’s online grocery pick up, I couldn’t wait to try! Today I’m going to share our experience with our first time using Walmart’s grocery pick up, as well as share a few of my faves that you can order, too.
The Process
Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup is literally SO easy! Here’s the steps to ordering:
- Order groceries at walmart.com/grocery or through the Walmart Grocery mobile app (orange app) – I did download the app, but I ordered on my computer
- Select your pickup/delivery time and submit order (there’s basically every single date/time available, which was super nice because it fit my schedule)
• I suggest opting-in to email and text messages, so you are notified when your order is ready for pickup/on it’s way - Once notified that your order is ready for pickup, check in with the Walmart Grocery app to let us know you’re on the way
• For delivery, you must be home to accept the order- If you don’t download the app, you should opt into the emails, so you get one when your groceries are ready!
- Follow the orange signs to the pickup area and park in the designated spot
- Once you get to the pick up spot, there’s a number to call to let the associates know you have arrived!
- A Walmart associate will deliver your order to your car/home
- Walmart associate will review order and request signature
- Your receipt will be sent via email and/or within the app
Additional Details
Delivery associates are trained to pick the most fresh items. If anything is unavailable, they substitute the item with something similar or better (at NO extra cost) and verify that you’re ok with that replacement prior to charging you. This actually happened to me, and I ended up getting better popcorn than the one I ordered (WINNING!). The online prices are exactly the same as in store (with a $30 minimum order). I tried tipping the gentleman who brought out our groceries and to my surprise, he said NO TIPPING! I thought that was pretty nice, on top of the fact that you don’t even have to get out of your car.

Notable Items
Aside from just groceries, you probably noticed that I ordered a few items that included dinnerware, napkins, and detergent. Those are the items that are heavy and honestly annoying for me to grab in store myself. They also carry party, office, camping and outdoor supplies!

Conclusion
I highly recommend using Walmart’s Online Grocery Pick Up service! It was a super simple process, the produce was fresh, and the prices were extremely reasonable.
