Happy Thursday! For the past 10 years (and maybe even a few longer), skinny jeans have been all the rage. Every single store caries a large variation of skinny jeans (ripped, light wash, dark denim, etc), but it’s rare to find great wide or straight leg jeans.
I have been on the hunt for a unique pair of jeans that are still a staple and can stay in my closet for years to come.
Let’s rewind for a moment. Most of you probably don’t know that I was a store manager for 7 For All Mankind and Joe’s Jeans for years. Prior to that I worked for a company (whose no longer in business) called Metropark. They carried brands like True Religion and Frankie B’s when they were all the rage! It was a super fun job, and it’s where I started learning about premium denim.
With that in mind, I’ve become a bit of a “jean snob.” It’s really important to me that jeans fit well and are comfortable. I also hate when jeans stretch out and give me “diaper butt” – I’m not a baby, it’s not cute! I decided to search for a new pair of wide leg jeans and was SO excited when I spotted these bad boys!
I’ve never worn Free People jeans, so I took to Instagram for some help with which size to buy. Everyone recommended going up a size in them, and I’m so glad I did! Although shopping on Revolve is so easy, they do free 2 day shipping and free returns (actually your box comes with a shipping label, too!).
Features
For sizing, I went with a 25 (I’m regularly at 24).
The jeans are mid-rise, which is my preferred rise.
They stretch slightly, but don’t get baggy.
They’re only $78, which I was impressed by! Most of my premium denim is over $100.
If you don’t like rips, they have this version without them!
