Today I’m sharing tip number 3 to boosting your productivity while working from home: Make A Work Space.
I wrote a blog post sharing my home office redo! This post will help inspire you to create a beautiful workspace. It’s helped me significantly become more productive at home.
Make A Work Space
When I first started working from home, I was just excited to be able to be home and on my own schedule! I’d plop myself down on the couch, sit at the kitchen table, or even prop my computer on my lap in bed. In fact, this was an EPIC FAIL! And I got very little done.
So fast forward and for three months I signed up for a co-working space. My productivity significantly improved, because I had no distractions! But the downfall was, I didn’t want to pay $2000 a year for a co-working space that I didn’t need!
After one month of payments, and a ton of executed work and increased productivity, I realized all I needed was a designated work space at home. So Jesse and I had a discussion, and we decided it made sense to convert our guest bedroom into a home office.

Once the home office was complete, I had an organized and beautiful space to get work done. Trust me, I realize not everyone will have the option of a full room transformation for an office. What I would encourage is to find a designated work area around your house that is neat, organized and not next to a TV! In addition, a quiet and clean area will create a more tranquil and peaceful area for you to get work done.
Here’s a few office necessities that have helped me work in a calm and peaceful environment:
