Formula
Tarte Amazonian Clay products are a thicker consistency, with vibrant coloring. This palette is no exception!
The shadows are very soft and come off onto the brush so easily. You only really need one to two swipes to get the full color to translate to your eyelid.
Tarte geniously included vanilla extract in their shadows, providing a nice, natural fragrance. This also has rich antioxidants and properties that support anti-aging.
These shadows can be described as soft and silky.
Colors
The are six colors inside the TARTE Tarteist Pro To Go Amazonian Clay Palette
- Drive – matte nude
- Stylin – matte brown
- Boss – shimmery bronze
- Hype – shimmery soft gold
- Crisp – matte chestnut
- Dominate – shimmery rasperry
When purchasing a palette, I always like an equal ratio of matte to shimmery colors (or more matte colors than shimmer). This palette has a good mix of color and texture, making it easy to create multiple looks.
For an everyday look, I’ll use Drive and Stylin.
For a more dramatic nighttime look, I’ll use Drivin (transition and base), Crisp (corners), and either Boss or Dominate, with a splash of Hype on the lids.
Wear
Tarte’s Amazonian Clay “provides better, longer, truer makeup wear”. It has minerals inside, as well, which helps soften the skin.
These shadows last literally all day and do not move! Don’t forget to use an eyeshadow primer (the one I use is HERE) or the shadow will not stay as well.

The TARTE Tarteist Pro To Go Amazonian Clay Palette is affordable (only $23), versatile, and impeccable quality. Time and time again, I go to Sephora and leave with Tarte products. They are such a solid brand, I have yet to try something I do not like! This palette is no exception.
I’ve used this palette for simple everyday eyeshadow, to go to a wedding, and I’ll be wearing it for Thanksgiving. It’s fabulous for travel. If you’re like me and are constantly traveling, this can fit in your purse or any makeup bag.
