I’m exactly 40 days out from our wedding, and honestly, it feels like crunch time hit me like a wild fire! There has been so much going on, and I have definitely been a little slow to post (thanks for bearing with me!). I’m no expert on wedding planning, and would rather focus my energy on getting as fit as possible for our big day.
With that said, I thought it made sense to share my work out plan and meal plan just 6 weeks out from the big day! Please keep in mind, I am no personal trainer, but I know what schedule works for my body.
I know if I have a schedule in advance that I’m committed to going and not winging it. Here’s what I’ve been doing for the past week, with some deviation in cardio:
Gym Schedule
Monday – 6am cardio, 4:30pm yoga sculpt (Core Power)
Tuesday – 6am HIIT
Wednesday – 6am cardio, 4:30pm yoga sculpt (Core Power)
Thursday – 6am HIIT
Friday – OFF
Saturday – Cardio
Sunday – OFF
To note, the days are completely interchangeable. Sometimes I workout on Fridays and take off both weekend days. Do what works for you and listen to your body.
Cardio Options
Walk Uphill
Walk/Jog (I am not a runner! The max I run is three miles, and mostly it’s just one mile on, walk a bit, another mile on, walk a bit)
Elliptical (try a HIIT routine on this machine)
Stair Climber
Spin
Hydration
Water is single handily the most important part of your day. Aside from healthy eating, drinking enough water is vital. I start my day with a cup of coffee followed by 40 oz of water. My goal is to get at least 160 oz of water in a day! Most days I succeed.
I found this amazing water bottle company called, The Big Bottle, and immediately I got two colors. The bottle holds 2.2 liters of liquid, and is exactly what I need to drink to ensure my body is well hydrated.
Healthy Eating
Dessert is always calling my name! I have a huge sweet tooth, and my sweets loving fiancé is no help. I turned to meal prepping about a year ago, when I realized I had no time to leave for lunch at my job and was spending hundreds of dollars on super unhealthy food.
Lately things have been so busy, I’m rushing on Sunday’s to grocery shop and meal prep. I decided to try Nature’s Purpose, a healthy food delivery service out of Tempe, AZ and so far I LOVE their food. I also just ordered from Daily Harvest (I ordered the 24 meals). Those get delivered this week, so I’ll keep you guys posted!
Cute Gym Clothes
What motivates you to get fit? Obviously the idea of looking your best is probably somewhat motivating, but new and cute gym clothes definitely help a sister get out the door!
My shoes are from Target (similar and also some I own HERE).
Conclusion
I have a ways to go, but I’m already down 5 lbs, and am just looking to tone now!
Have a fabulous week and keep me posted on your workout schedule.
