Hi girls! Happy March! It’s so crazy to think we’re almost a quarter of the way through 2020. If you signed up already for my weekly emails (HERE), you saw I’ve been sticking to my 2020 New Years Resolutions. I appreciate you all holding me accountable on Instagram stories, too! It’s been so fun to do them with you.
For the past three years, I’ve traveled every single month (sometimes twice a month), and have nailed down the exact items I need to pack no matter where I’m going. Today I’m sharing the travel must haves that everyone needs for their upcoming travel plans!
My Travel Must Haves
Packing Cube Set
I finally caved and ordered the 5 piece packing cube set in January for my ski trip, thinking I was going to hate them. I was SO surprised. The packing cubes helped me get everything in my suitcase WAY more organized! I put my tops in one, bottom in another cube, hair hot tools, underwear, socks, swimsuits, etc. I will NEVER travel without packing cubes again! I highly recommend ordering them.
Travel Jewelry Organizer
There’s actually two travel jewelry organizers I’ve been using and LOVING! I’ll link both below. The one in the collage is perfect for travel! It fits everything you could need, and has spaces for bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and rings. The other is perfect for a weekend trip, where you may just pack a few extra pieces. I find that one has been really useful for my purse, too. If you work and go to the gym after (or before), it’s the perfect size!
Sunglasses
No matter where I travel to, I always pack sunglasses! I usually buy one pair of sunglasses every 3-5 years (no joke), and I purchased these Ray Ban Retro Inspired Round Sunglasses a few months ago. Ray Ban makes good quality, high end, timeless sunglasses. They’ll last you forever if you take care of them!
Toptote
Hands down, Toptote is THE BEST INVENTION EVER!! You can use a Toptote to clip your hat to your purse/suitcase/bag during travel. I’ll never have to travel with hats on my head, ever again! You need one, and seriously buy one for gifts, because it’s the best gift ever!
Calpak Laptop Travel Backpack
I finally got the Calpak Kaya Backpack after eyeing it for an entire year! My only regret is not buying it sooner! This Kaya Backpack fits everything (laptop, book, blanket, travel cases, etc). It has multiple compartments and it’s lightweight. I was debating between the tan and cream colors, but ultimately went with the tan. I love it! Highly recommend it, and well worth $105!
Travel Makeup Organizer
I’ve never owned a smarter Travel Makeup Organizer! This travel case is an absolute must. It’s only $19, comes in multiple colors and prints, and can be adjusted to fit your makeup perfectly. You absolutely need this makeup case if you travel (even once a year!)!
White Noise Maker
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I can’t sleep without a white noise maker! When my husband and I were living in NYC, our apartment was street side. Despite being on the 4th floor, we woke up at all hours through the night from noise. We finally purchased the white noise maker, and haven’t slept a night without it since! It’s subtle, calming, and noise cancelling. We now own two, so when we travel separate, we both have one! BEST purchase ever.
Travel Hot Tools Set
Investing in a travel hair dryer and straightener is a must if you travel! The T3 Mini Miracles Set works just as well as the large size, and doesn’t take up much space or weight in your luggage. It’s also great for your purse, should you head to work from the gym, or live in a humid place where you may need a quick hair touch up. They’ll last you forever, and are a great investment!
Travel Charger
A travel charger is an absolute travel must have! My phone always dies on trips, so I pack a travel charger in my purse at all times. If you don’t own one, definitely pick this up! You never want to be somewhere foreign and not have your phone.
Cardholder
I use my Gucci cardholder every single day! I have a beautiful Louis Vuitton wallet that sadly never sees the light of day. I love that my cardholder fits in every single bag (big or small), is easy to transport, and weighs virtually nothing. This one was last year’s birthday present from my husband. Prior to this gift, had a $200 Louis Vuitton one that I used for 10+ years. Invest in one good one, they’ll last you forever!
Laundry Bag
I brought this exact $12 compact laundry bag to LA last weekend and it was perfect! It weighs nothing, and opens up to a fully laundry bag. I just bought a second one for Jesse for our upcoming trip to Aruba! It makes unpacking SO much easier, since you pop the laundry bag straight where it needs to go when you get home! You also don’t have to mix dirty and clean clothes anymore. An absolute must for travel!
Calpak Suitcase
I’ve had the gold Calpak Suitcase set for about 2 years now, and they’re super light weight, fit everything and are the prettiest luggage I’ve ever seen! I purchased the set of two, my only regret is not investing in the set of three. They also come in other colors if gold isn’t for you.
Neck Pillow & Eye Mask Set
I always travel with a neck pillow. If you haven’t before, they are life changing on a plane! I saw this eye mask and neck pillow set, and ordered. They’re a sure way to be 100 times more comfortable during travel!
